American College of Rheumatology
The American College of Rheumatology (ACR) is a professional organization of rheumatologists and associated health professionals (practicing physicians, research scientists, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, psychologists, and social workers). The ACR provides professional education for its members and hosts an Annual Scientific Meeting, held each fall, a winter rheumatology symposium, spring clinical meetings, and other topical conferences. The College also supports research initiatives and is an advocate in the formulation of public policy.
The Arthritis Foundation
The Arthritis Foundation is a national not-for-profit organization that supports advocacy, programs, services, and research for more than 100 types of arthritis and related conditions.
The National Kidney Foundation
A major voluntary health organization, The National Kidney Foundation works to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation. The foundation supports research and research training, patient services and community resources, public health education, and better health policy.
European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR)
The European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) represents patients, health professionals and scientific rheumatology societies of the European nations. Its mission is to stimulate, promote, and support the research, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of rheumatic diseases. EULAR has published guidelines on gout diagnosis and management and links to those publications are available on their site.

Medscape offers medical information and educational tools to specialists, primary care physicians, and other health professionals. Content includes review articles, journal commentary, conference summaries, expert columns, patient education articles, and book reviews.
PubMed
PubMed is a database of citations and abstracts for millions of articles from thousands of journals. A service of the National Library of Medicine, PubMed includes over 15 million citations for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. Those with online subscriptions to specific journals can link to full-text versions of articles from their search results.
